DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to provide background to and assist firms in complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Identify the impact of data protection regulation that has occurred with the implementation of UK GDPR
- Understand the requirements placed upon firms when processing and safeguarding customer data
- Be aware of the role of the Information Commissioner’s Office
- Understand the role of the Data Protection Officer within firms
- Apply the recommendations from various sources available to firms to ensure compliance with UK GDPR
